On April 30, bring your curiosity to @dctvny 87 Lafayette St, Manhattan, for a night of Baltic cinema, culture, live conversation, and the kind of energy that only happens when cultures meet and exchange!
While we can't promise biezpiens and rupjmaize at the door, we can promise you Art Born in Agony, the story of the man who was basically the soundtrack of Latvia's soul, plus two short films by young filmmakers from New York and Ukraine telling the story of a punk band and of a small countryside girl, able to play many instruments.
Good food brings people together. So does good cinema. We'll have Uldis Cekulis from @VFSfilms and @Justiinei, daughter of Juris Kulakovs who will be there to have a chat about music and documentaries.
